Our hosting provider collects standard technical information about visits — such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and visit times — as aggregate site analytics and server logs. We use this to understand overall site usage and keep the Site secure. We do not use it to build profiles of individual visitors.
Spam-prevention signals. Our forms include invisible checks (such as how long the form took to fill in) that help us tell real enquiries apart from automated submissions. These signals are stored alongside your submission.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
The Site uses only what it needs to function:
- Strictly necessary storage. Used to load pages, submit forms securely, and remember your cookie-banner choice. This cannot be switched off.
- Staff sign-in. If you are a Bay and Basin staff member signing in to our internal enquiries dashboard, a session token keeps you signed in.
We do not set advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of service providers to run the Site:
- Website hosting and database — the Site and the database that stores form submissions are hosted by our website platform provider.
- Email delivery — when you submit a form, a transactional email service delivers a copy of your enquiry to our staff.
- Fonts — some pages load a typeface from Google Fonts, which involves your browser requesting the font file from Google's servers.
These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the Site and are not permitted to use it for their own advertising.
5. How We Use Information
- To respond to your enquiries, quote requests, claims reports, and applications;
- To provide, operate, and improve the Site;

We keep form submissions for as long as we need them to handle your enquiry and to meet our record-keeping obligations as a licensed insurance agency, then delete them. Aggregate analytics are retained by our hosting provider under its own retention schedule.
9. Data Protection
Form submissions are transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in a database with access restricted to authorized Bay and Basin staff. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take commercially reasonable measures to protect your information.
10. Third-Party Links
The Site links to external sites — for example our Facebook page and our payment provider — whose privacy practices we do not control. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any site you visit from ours.
11. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for business audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
